ABIGAIL ROONEY

Artist Abigail Rooney creates works which explore family connections through found photography. This series of works explores the idea of memory.

For most a memory is not full, it misses some details whether that be the places a person has visited, the clothes they wore or who they saw. The detail is always missing. Abigail's works have taken her interpretation of memory through 'incomplete' drawings and oil paintings. Missing sections to show underneath the canvas, board or backing. These works attempt to create an air of mystery or a feeling of being 'just out of reach', giving the audience an opportunity to create their own ideas of the times represented in the artworks.
